LA JOLLA, Calif. - UC Riverside fell to the UCSD Tritons, 20-2 in the final game of their three-game series at Triton Ballpark.Â
HOW IT HAPPENEDÂ
- Jayden Lopez earned the first RBI for the Highlanders in the top of the first inning, sending Cole Koniarsky home with a ground ball to the shortstop.
- Zachary Chamizo homered, his second of the season, to put up the Highlanders second run in the top of the ninth.
HIGHLANDER HIGHLIGHTSÂ
- Koniarsky hit his sixth double of the season to get in scoring position for what would be the Highlanders' first run of the game.
UP NEXTÂ
- UC Riverside will resume Big West play on Friday, April 5, hosting a three-game set against Cal Poly. First pitch from the Plex is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on ESPN+.
