SAN DIEGO, Calif. — The Highlanders turned in its most balanced scoring effort of the season Friday night, with six players reaching double figures in an 85–71 road win over San Diego at Jenny Craig Pavilion.
BJ Kolly led the Highlanders with 19 points on 9-for-14 shooting, adding five rebounds, one steal and two blocks while anchoring the interior on both ends. Andrew Henderson scored 14 points with three three-pointers, and Marqui Worthy Jr. added 12 points, five rebounds and three assists.
Osiris Grady finished with 11 points and six rebounds, shooting 5-for-9 from the field. De'Undrae Perteete added 10 points, six rebounds and two steals, completing a perfect 4-for-4 performance from the floor. Jailen Daniel-Dalton came off the bench to score 11 points with three rebounds in 20 minutes.
UC Riverside shot 54.5 percent from the field and 47.1 percent from three while holding the lead for more than 36 minutes. The Highlanders opened a 10-point lead by halftime at 39–29 and extended their advantage to as many as 20 midway through the second half.
The win moves UC Riverside to 3–3 on the season. The Highlanders return home Monday for a noon matchup against Grambling State at SRC Arena.
