ST. PAUL, Minn. — The Highlanders battled on the road Saturday afternoon but fell 92–78 to St. Thomas.
Osiris Grady led the Highlanders with a season-high 21 points on 8-for-15 shooting. BJ Kolly added 16 points on 7-for-11 shooting and was one of UC Riverside's leaders on the glass with seven rebounds. Andrew Henderson finished with 13 points and recorded three blocks, while De'Undrae Perteete posted 12 points and led the Highlanders with five assists. Marqui Worthy Jr. added nine points and provided defensive pressure on the perimeter.
UC Riverside stayed aggressive offensively, shooting 49.1 percent from the field while knocking down seven three-pointers and going 15-for-16 at the free-throw line. The Highlanders continued to answer St. Thomas runs with interior scoring and timely perimeter looks but were unable to fully close the gap down the stretch.
UC Riverside continues its road stretch next, traveling to Los Angeles, Calif., for a matchup at UCLA on Tuesday, Dec. 23.
