COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — UC Riverside men's golf closed out the Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational with a strong finish Sunday, led by Stephen Luo and Chanhee Ryu posting their best rounds of the tournament at Eisenhower Golf Course.
Luo caught fire early, carding six birdies on his opening nine holes to make the turn at 6-under 30. He added two more birdies on the back side to sign for a 6-under 66, climbing into a tie for fifth place at 7-under 209 for the weekend.
Ryu also delivered in the final round, rolling in three birdies to go out in 33. He added two more birdies on the back and finished with a 3-under 69, securing a tie for 14th at 3-under 213 overall.
Benton Sullivan provided a steady 77, while Caden Breisch (81) and Landon Breisch (85) rounded out the Highlander lineup.
Up next, the Highlanders will compete in the Visit Stockton Pacific Invitational, set for Oct. 9-11.
