SAN DIEGO, Calif. - UC Riverside returned to the track on Friday night at the SDSU Sports Deck for the Aztec Coastal Track Classic & Distance Carnival.

Lily Woolery opened the evening with her first collegiate 800 run, clocking a 2:15.26 for a new team outdoor best on the season. 

Morgan Nygren also moved to the top of an outdoor season performance list, recording a 4:30.12 in the women's 1500. Lexi Corvese put in the second best outdoor performance thus far with a 4:43.38. Jordan Herrera (4:03.30) and JJ Juarez (4:04.25) led UCR on the men's side. 

Anna Field finished fourth in her 5000 meter heat (17:46.14), but Joy Weber led the way in the event with a 17:19.25 for 12th. In the men's 5000, Finn Babbitt paced UC Riverside (13:43.88) while Big West Qualifier Baptiste Garderes (14:54.90) placed second among Highlanders. 

UCR returns to action next Saturday, March 21, to host the UCR Spring Track Classic.
