UCR Drops Second Game at CBU

RIVERSIDE, Calif. - UC Riverside made the short trip to CBU for a second meeting between the rivals this year. They still have two more meetings at The Plex later this year. It was all Lancers tonight as CBU won, 12-1.
Ryan Higgins got the start for UCR and took the loss dropping his record to to 1-2. The lefty went one inning giving up two runs on two hits. Halen Jaden Guerrero pitched the most for UCR going two innings and gave up only one run. Matt Hudson and Josh Martinez pitched a combined two and a third and gave up nothing.Â
The lone Highlander run came in the top of the ninth when Lucas Bonham hit his team leading fifth homer of the year. For Bonham it was his third homer in the last four games.Â
UC Riverside looks to get back on track this weekend against Cal Poly in a conference three game set. The Mustangs are atop the conference standings with an 8-1 record. First pitch on Friday is 2PM.
