Raykiyat Olukoju Named Big West Women’s Track Athlete of the Week

Triple winner from the UCR Spring Classic earns weekly honors

RIVERSIDE, Calif. - Raykiyat Olukoju has been named the Big West Women's Track Athlete of the Week, the conference announced on Tuesday. 

This is Olukoju's second career award and UCR's first this season. 

The Riverside native won the 100m (11.70) and 200m (23.39) at this past weekend's UCR Spring Classic, and also ran the second leg in the program record-breaking 4x100m relay (44.95). 

Olukoju's 200m time leads the Division I West Region and ranks 17th in the country, while the 4x100m time ranks 25th nationally. 

UC Riverside returns to the track this weekend at the Vince O'Boyle Classic.
