Biography

2018  Etched her name in the Highlander history books on multiple occasions in 2018 beginning with the season opener when she notched 30 kills in a win over Montana. She followed up that performance the very next day with a DI record 33 kills to become the first Highlander to put up 30+ kills on back-to-back days. Her outstanding play during opening weekend earned her AVCA Player of the Week, VolleyMob Player of the Week, and Big West Player of the Week. She is the only Highlander to earn national recognition from the AVCA and VolleyMob. 

Two weeks later, Ahuna would break her own record collecting 34 kills at the Idaho State Tournament.

On various occasions Ahuna was ranked #1 in the nation in kills p/set ending the 2018 season at 5.33. She was also among the top-10 in total kills and attacks on multiple occasions.


2017
Saw her first action with the Highlanders in the team's season-opening win over Farleigh Dickinson (box score/recap) ... Named to the Red Raider Classic All-Tournament Team (story) ... 

2016 (Eastern Washington) Made 22 starts and appeared in 25 matches in her second year as an Eagle… Finished the season with a team-leading 257 kills, was second on the team with 242 digs and ranked fourth with 30 blocks… Averaged 2.92 kills/set and 2.75 digs/set… Finished the year hitting .149… Dished out 21 assists and had 10 service aces… Notched a career-high 19 kills against Weber State on Oct. 27 and 20 digs against North Dakota on Sept. 30… Recorded seven double-doubles… Selected to the All-Big Sky Academic Team.

2015 (Eastern Washington) Saw time in 16 matches and made a pair of starts in her first year in Cheney ... Made her collegiate debut versus Pac-12 member California on Aug. 29, finishing with three kills and one dig ...  Led EWU with a season-high eight kills against San Diego State on Sept. 11 ...

High School Graduated from Kamehameha Schools Keaukaha, Hawaii ... Led Kamehameha to four Big Island Interscholastic Federation titles, receiving BIIF Player of the Year honors as a junior ... Named to Hawaii's prestigious Fab 15 list following her junior and senior seasons ... Was selected to participate in the USA High Performance Tournament at the conclusion of her sophomore and junior campaigns, and earned an invite to the USA A1 National Training Team in Tulsa, Okla., as a senior, where her team finished fourth ... Also participated in the USA A1 National Training Team tournament in Des Moines, Iowa, where the team she captained finished first ... Earned MVP and all-tournament honors following that tournament.
