Baseball Resumes League Play With Five-Game Winning Streak On The Line

Game Notes - UC Riverside at UC Santa Barbara
The UC Riverside baseball team resumes Big West play this weekend with a three-game set at UC Santa Barbara. The Highlanders will look to keep their season-best five-game winning streak alive as the series starts on Friday, Apr. 30 at 3:00 pm. The teams square off on Saturday, May 1 at 1:00 pm in game two, and conclude the set on Sunday, May 2 at 1:00 pm.
Right handed pitcher Matt Andriese (4-2, 4.57) will take the mound for the Highlanders on Friday. In his last outing, Andriese pitched a complete, one-run game while striking out a career-high nine batters. He will face off against left handed pitcher Mario Hollands (3-3, 4.43) of UCSB.
On Saturday, Dustin Emmons (5-3, 3.05) gets the start for UCR. Against CSU Bakersfield his last time out, Emmons gave up just one earned run to pick up his team-leading fifth win of the season.
Matt Larkins (4-2, 4.36) will get the Sunday start for the Highlanders on the mound as the three-game series comes to an end.
