The Highlanders are 2-2-1 over their past five matches with both losses coming to Top-25 teams in UCLA and CSU Bakersfield.
UC Irvine was picked to finish second in the Big West according to the preseason poll of conference coaches, and they have lived up to that billing thus far with just one loss on their ledger.

The Anteaters went 2-0 against the pair, defeating the Falcons, 5-0, and the RoadRunners by a 4-0 score. The Highlanders split those games defeating Air Force, 1-0, and falling to CSU Baskersfield by a 3-0 final.
