Women's Hoops Breaks From League Play Saturday Against CSU Bakersfield

Game Notes - UC Riverside vs CSU Bakersfield
The UC Riverside women’s basketball team is taking a break from Big West Conference play on Saturday, January 22 with a 5:00 pm PST contest against CSU Bakersfield at the Student Recreation Center in Riverside.
Fans who are unable to attend the game may follow all of the action as the Voice of the Highlanders, Ghizal Hasan, brings the call from courtside to gohighlanders.com. Fans may also follow the game via LiveStats.
The Highlanders and Roadrunners have met just three times in program history, with UCR winning the first two meetings and CSUB winning the most recent.
CSU Bakersfield won its first six games to start the 2010-11 season but are just 7-9 since. The Runners are also 3-4 against common opponents so far this season. Four players are averaging double figures led by Amber Williams’ 14.0.
The Highlanders are coming off of a 57-48 loss at Cal Poly on January 19 that snapped a three game winning streak.
Alyssa Morris, Tre’Shonti Nottingham, and Brittany Waddell are all averaging upwards of 10 points per game, while Morris is pulling down a team-best 5.3 boards a game.
