Highlanders Return Home To Host UC Davis On Thursday At 7 PM

The UC Riverside women’s basketball team looks to end its four-game losing skid as they host UC Davis in Big West Conference action on Thursday, January 5. Tip time is scheduled for 7:00 pm at the Student Recreation Center.

The Highlanders are playing just their fourth home game of the season, as 10 of their first 13 contests were on the road. The team is currently averaging 64.7 points per game at home compared to 54.2 on the road, and hitting 43.9 percent of shots at home versus 36.4 percent on the road.

UC Davis enters Thursday’s game with an 8-5 overall mark, but an 0-1 record in league play as they lost at home to Cal State Fullerton, 58-50, on Dec. 31. Samantha Megginson and Kasey Riecks currently pace the Aggies offense averaging 10.8 and 10.2 points per game respectively.

Tre’Shonti Nottingham has scored in double-figures in each of the last five games, upping her season average to 14.3 ppg to lead the team. Natasha Hadley is UCR’s second-leading scorer with 13.5 points per game.

UC Davis owns the all-time series against the Highlanders by the slimmest margin, 22-21.
