The UC Riverside women’s basketball team will look to stop a five-game losing skid as the Pacific Tigers travel to the Student Recreation Center on Saturday, January 7 for a 5:00 pm tip.
The Highlanders are 2-12 overall and 0-3 in the Big West—tying the 2002-03 squad as the only other UCR team to start league play without a win.
Pacific is 7-6 overall and 1-1 in Big West play after falling to UC Irvine in overtime, 77-75, on Thursday. Three Tigers players are averaging double-digits in scoring led by Erica McKenzie’s 12.8 ppg, Kendal Rodriguez’s 12.4 ppg, and Ashley Wakefield’s 12.2.
Pacific averages 70.3 points per game as a team, while the Highlanders are averaging just 56.4 points per game. Tre’Shonti Nottingham paces UC Riverside offensively with 14.8 ppg.
The Highlanders own the all-time series record against the Tigers, 13-11.
