The UC Riverside women’s basketball team hits the road for two games this weekend beginning on Thursday, February 9 at Pacific. Tip off against the Tigers is slated for 5:00 pm in Stockton, CA.
The Highlanders have won three of their last four games, and will look to bounce back from an earlier 80-59 loss to Pacific from January 7. The 80 points scored by the Tigers in that game are the most points UCR has given up in Big West play since Pacific scored 82 on March 8, 2008.
The Tigers have won each of their last two games, and average just over 70 points per game. Three players average double-figure scoring in Ashley Wakefield (12.3), Kendall Rodriguez (12.3), and Erica McKenzie (12.0).
UC Riverside has increased it scoring output in the past five games, averaging 67.6 ppg compared to 57.8 for the entire season. Tre’Shonti Nottingham paces the Highlanders squad with 15.3 ppg, while Natasha Hadley averages 12.4 ppg.
The Highlanders own the all-time series against Pacific, 13-12.
