Central Coast Road Swing On Tap For UC Riverside Women's Basketball

Santa Barbara, CA—The UC Riverside Women’s Basketball Team is 5-1 in road games this season and will look to keep that record improving as they travel to UC Santa Barbara on Thursday, January 31 for a 7 pm PT tip at The Thunderdome. The Highlanders only road loss of the year came at the hands of #18 Oklahoma back on December 20 (box score/recap).
The Gauchos have won three of their last four games to improve their Big West record to 4-3 and their overall record to 8-11. Three players share the scoring load for UCSB as Sweets Underwood paces the team averaging 11.4 points per game, Nicole Nesbit averages 9.8, and Melissa Zomig averages 8.9. The Gauchos score 50.7 points per game and hold opponents to 54.5 ppg.
UC Riverside averaged 68.9 points per game heading into league play, but is averaging just 53.0 ppg in seven Big West games.
UCSB has won the past three meetings between the squads, and owns the all-time series record, 23-17. View all-time results.
