Women's Hoops Gears Up For Long Beach State Saturday At 5 PM

Riverside—The UC Riverside Women’s Basketball Team has struggled at home during Big West Conference play this season posting an 0-6 record, including Thursday’s most recent two-point loss to UC Irvine, 58-56 (box score/recap).
The Highlanders will look to put a stopper on that trend, however, as Long Beach State comes calling for a 5 pm tip PT at the SRC Arena on Saturday, February 16.
UC Riverside defeated the 49ers, 50-49, back on January 17 (box score/recap/audio highlights), and since then, LBSU has gone 4-3 in league play. Five different players average between seven and 11 points per game, led by Alex Sanchez’s 10.5 ppg.
The Highlanders boast three active players averaging double-figure scoring: Tre’Shonti Nottingham (17.8), Brittany Crain (12.8), and Natasha Hadley (11.0).
