Women's Basketball Begins First Of Three Straight Road Games Thursday At CS Fullerton

Fullerton—The UC Riverside Women's Basketball Team begins the second half of its conference schedule this week traveling to Cal State Fullerton on Thursday, January 6 for a 7 pm PT tip at Titan Gym. The Highlanders then head to Long Beach State on February 8 for a 4 pm tip at The Pyramid.
UCR and CSF tangled to open the Big West slate on January 9, with the Titans earning the 82-78 victory (box score/recap). CSF has gone 3-3 in league games this season while the Highlanders are 0-7.
UC Riverside's offense is averaging 67.9 points per game this season—the highest average in the program's Division history. Defensively, however, UCR gives up 76.8 ppg and nearly 42 percent field goal percentage including a 35.4 percent clip from three-point range.
After scoring a season-high 82 points against the Highlanders on Jan. 9, CSF has scored in the 70s just once and in the 60s in the remaining four games. The Titans average 61.5 ppg on the season while hitting 37.7 percent from the floor.
UCR owns a 23-19 overall record against Cal State Fullerton, but has dropped three of the last four games to the Titans (view all-time results).
