Riverside— The UC Riverside Women's Basketball Team is back in the SRC this Thursday, as the Highlanders seek revenge against Cal State Fullerton after dropping their first meeting, 58-49 (box score/recap) earlier this season. Tip is set for 7 pm PT.

UC Riverside is coming off an 68-56 victory on the road at CSUN. Brittany Crain led the Highlanders with 29 points against the Matadors. She shot eight of nine from the free-throw line, aiding in 11 of the Highlanders' 13 makes.

That performance extended her program Division I era record of consecutive double-digit scoring efforts to 30 straight games. Crain leads the Big West with a 24.0 points per game scoring average which is also the fourth highest average in the nation as of January 31.

In her second game back after missing six straight with an injury, Simone DeCoud played 35 minutes, scoring 8 points and shooting 2-for-4 from behind the arc.

Annelise Ito has averaged 14.0 points in her five games back since sustaining an injury and ranks eighth in the conference in scoring.

Also contributing to the Highlanders' scoring efforts last week was Michelle Curry, with 14 points and 7 boards against CSUN.

At 13-8 overall, UC Riverside is off to its best start since the 1994-95 season when the Highlanders won 16 of their first 21 games.

CSF heads into the week following a 67-52 loss to Long Beach State.

The Titans boast the second-leading scorer in the conference, Chante Miles, who averages 19.7 points per game. Kathleen Iwuoha is the only other CSF player averging double-digit points per game with 11.2.

The Highlanders lead the overall series against Cal State Fullerton, 23-21, but the Titans took the first of two meetings this season in Fullerton Jan. 8.
