Men's Golf Hits The Road To Play The ASU Thunderbird Invitational This Weekend

Tempe, Az –The UC Riverside's Men's Golf team heads to Tempe, AZ for its 10th event of the season, the 45th Annual ASU Thunderbird Invitational. The 15-team tournament beings with 36 holes on Saturday, March 18 and concludes with the final 18 holes Sunday, March 19 on ASU Karsten Golf Course.
In the Highlanders' last event, the team finished sixth, and Matt Lutz came in 11th in the Sacramento State Invitational at Valley Hi Country Club (story).
This will be the first time in five years that UC Riverside will participate in the ASU Thunderbird Invitational.
ASU Karsten Golf Course is known for its beautiful 16th hole that is described as a "risk and reward situation."
Expected to compete for the Highlanders is; Sam Gillis, Lutz, Andrew Spilman, Pachara Sakulyong, and Michael Wong.
