LONG BEACH, Calif. - UC Riverside closed out the 2022 season at the Walter Pyramid on Saturday night in Long Beach with a 3-0 defeat to the Beach.
Isabella Scarlett reached 600 career kills in her final college match on Saturday night with a team-high five, while Jessica Dean and Delaney Tate combined for 23 of UCR's 39 digs.
The Highlander offense found its most success in set two, registering eight kills in addition to an ace from Chloe Ruhl. Tayler Hifo was a multifaceted asset in UC Riverside's season finale with four kills, 10 assists, two digs and two blocks while hitting .375 for the match.
UCR would not go down quietly in set three, going on a 5-0 run to prolong Long Beach's set point before falling in the third and final installment.
