BOULDER CREEK, Nev. - UC Riverside set its second record in as many days at The Clash at Boulder Creek, as Janna Andaya carded a career-low 67 (-5) to post her second consecutive top-10 finish and help UCR finish strong at the Boulder Creek Golf Club.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Andaya posted a bogey-free round to finish her first fall season of collegiate golf, posting birdies on two, five, seven, 13 and 17 to finish in a tie for fifth.
- Mylan Hirata shot her second round of the tournament at or under par, posting a 72 (E) on day three with six birdies.
- Riley Shin shot a 74 (+2), her second such score of the tournament after opening with an 81 (+9) in Sunday's opening round.
HIGHLANDER HIGHLIGHTS
- Andaya's 67 (-5), while also a career low, was additionally the freshman's second round at or under par of the tournament and fourth overall this fall - all of which have come in UC Riverside's last two events.
- UC Riverside has now set a record in round three of The Clash at Boulder Creek in back-to-back seasons. UCR set the program record for lowest team round in round three last year before this year's Highlanders set a new one in Monday's second round.
