RIVERSIDE, Calif. – UC Riverside's men's and women's cross country teams took to the Ag/Ops Course on Saturday morning for the Highlander Invitational.  

HOW IT HAPPENED 

• Bailey Rockholt (26:05.3) paced UCR on the men's side, finishing 102nd.  
• UCR women finished ninth out of 24 teams with 277 points, thanks to Makayla Anderson's (21:59.8) top 40 finish.  
• Anderson was one of four Highlanders to finish in the top 50. Included in that group was Mia Ashby (22:07.6), who ran unattached.  

NOTABLES 

• Kai Marotta ran a personal best of 26:06.3 in his second collegiate race.  
• Anderson enjoyed her best finish of the season after running the third race of her debut cross country campaign.  
• Alexis Corvese (22:09.8) posted her best 6k of the season following runs at the UCR Invitational and prestigious Bill Dellinger Invitational.
