PHOENIX - UC Riverside capped off another successful GCU Spring Invite on Wednesday, finishing in a tie for fourth at the GCU Championship Course.    

HOW IT HAPPENED 

• Janna Andaya went low for the third straight round, carding her second 70 (-2) in Phoenix to finish in a tie for ninth. Andaya's card was nearly clean on the back nine with a birdie on 10.  
• Joining the freshman in the top 10 was Vanessa Betancourt (T6), who shot a 71 (-1) on Wednesday with birdies on 7 and 16.  
• Mylan Hirata shot even par for the second round at GCU, while Mitzi Duarte and Maleyna Gregorio each carded a 74 (+2).  

HIGHLANDER HIGHLIGHTS 

• Betancourt was one of five players in the field with at least 13 birdies. The senior has now recorded all five of her spring rounds at or under par.  
• Andaya has now shot at or under par three times in the spring after doing so twice in the fall.  

UP NEXT 

• UC Riverside now gets a month's rest before teeing it back up at the Fresno State Classic, March 25 and 26.
