FRESNO, Calif. - Play was suspended due to darkness late in round two of the Fresno State Classic at the Copper River Country Club.  

HOW IT HAPPENED 

• UC Riverside shot a 298 in round one.  
• Mylan Hirata shot a 72 (E) in round one and Vanessa Betancourt followed close behind with a 73 (+1).  
• Vanessa Betancourt bogeyed her first hole of the day but followed with back-to-back birdies and carded a 73 (+1) in round one.  
• Janna Andaya was 1-over on the front nine in both rounds and joins Hirata as the two Highlanders to finish round two prior to darkness.  
• Mitzi Duarte was 2-under through her first eight holes and is even par with one hole remaining in round two.  

HIGHLANDER HIGHLIGHTS 

• Mylan Hirata started on 14 and bogeyed 15 and 18 but was 1-under on the front nine with a birdie on six. Hirata carded a 72 (E) in round one to lead UC Riverside.
