FRESNO, Calif. - UC Riverside shot a 287 in round three of the Fresno State Classic to finish in fifth at the Copper River Country Club.  

HOW IT HAPPENED 

• Vanessa Betancourt tied for 11th in Fresno after shooting a 69 (+3) in round three, making one of the largest jumps of the day with a 27-spot improvement on the leaderboard.  
• Mylan Hirata shot her second 72 (E) of the tournament with five birdies.  
• Janna Andaya shot her lowest round of the tournament with a 73 (+1) after going 3-under over her final 10 holes.  

HIGHLANDER HIGHLIGHTS 

• UCR's 287 tied for the lowest team score of the final round, vaulting from 13th place to fifth over the final 18 holes.  
• UC Riverside ranked third in the 21-team field in both par 3 scoring (3.13) and birdies (36).
