AZUSA, Calif. – UC Riverside sprinkled personal bests and other top marks throughout the weekend at the Bryan Clay Invitational at Azusa Pacific.  

HOW IT HAPPENED 

• Zach Cadima flirted with a Big West qualifying mark in the 5000 but picked up a PR with 1:54.23 to kick off the long weekend. Andrew Castellon picked up his Big West qualifier in the 5k with a 14:39, one second off his outdoor best.  
• Mia Ashby ran the second fastest 5k of her career at 17:46 while Joy Weber picked up a PR in the event with an 18:08.81. 
• Raykiyat Olukoju matched her season best into a headwind at 23.71 to take third overall in the women's 200. Jessica Boyd and D'Lainey Nakamoto ran lifetime bests as well.  
• The men's 4x400 relay showed consistency with the same quartet from the Vince O'Boyle Classic, posting a 3:12.74. 
• Juliana Best posted a lifetime-best 40.30m in the javelin.  

HIGHLANDER HIGHLIGHTS 

• Tarron Johnson is now No. 6 all-time in the 800 with a personal best of 1:50.72. 
• Ashraf Abdelmagid is now No. 5 all-time in the 5k after sporting a 14:00.40. 
• UCR's women's 4x100 group set a new school record with a 45.66 from Olukoju, Boyd, Nakamoto and Natalia Carrillo.
