RIVERSIDE, Calif. - UC Riverside and head men's basketball coach Mike Magpayo have announced the Highlanders' 2024-25 schedule.
UCR will face another grueling non-conference schedule this winter with four opponents from the previous year's NCAA Tournament and NIT combined, the most in a season under the 2022-23 Big West Coach of the Year.
The Highlanders open play with an exhibition against Cal State San Marcos before starting the season with visits to a pair of 2024 NCAA Tournament participants in Oregon (Nov. 4), and BYU (Nov. 8). The season opening road trip concludes with the Crosstown Showdown on November 12 at California Baptist.
The Highlanders open the home schedule on November 14 against La Sierra, but an already taxing road docket doesn't get any easier with visits to Colorado State (Nov. 22) and Santa Clara (Nov. 19). UC Riverside will host Alcorn State (Nov. 24) and travel to Idaho (Nov. 30) before participating in the first Big West Bold Week at CSUN (Dec. 5) and against Cal State Fullerton (Dec. 7).
UCR closes the non-conference schedule with visits from Saint Francis (Dec. 15), NCAA First Four participant Montana State (Dec. 18) and Saint Thomas (Dec. 29) while traveling to NIT quarterfinalist UNLV (Dec. 21).
Big West play opens on January 2 at Long Beach State before UCR makes the short trip east to face UC Irvine on January 4. UC Riverside will play the traditional round robin format of conference action and host the regular season finale on March 6 against CSUN.
All Big West contests will be streamed exclusively on ESPN+. Stay tuned with the schedule for updates on non-conference broadcast information.
