PROVO, Utah — The Highlanders faced a difficult road environment Saturday night and fell 100–53 to BYU at the Marriott Center in nonconference action.

Andrew Henderson led the Highlanders with 14 points, knocking down three three-pointers to pace UCR offensively. BJ Kolly followed with 12 points on 6-for-11 shooting, while De'Undrae Perteete added 10 points on efficient looks from the floor.

BYU controlled the tempo early, using its size and transition game to build separation in the first half. UC Riverside found early scoring inside from Kolly and perimeter looks from Henderson, but the Cougars answered with extended runs to take a 49–32 lead into halftime.

The Cougars opened the second half with a decisive surge, stretching the margin as they continued to score in the paint and off turnovers. UC Riverside continued to compete, with Henderson and Perteete providing scoring in the half, but BYU maintained control throughout the final 20 minutes.

UC Riverside continues its road stretch next before returning home to host Stanton University on Tuesday, December 16, at SRC Arena.
