RENO, Nev. - UC Riverside track & field continued the early season on Friday at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center with day one of the Wolf Pack Classic.  

HOW IT HAPPENED 

• Mateo Garcia recorded his second top 10 mark in as many weekends, logging a 17.05m/55-11.25 in the weight throw for number five all-time.  
• Taylor Oden also logged her second top time of 2025 with a 9.09 in the 60mH for fifth all-time. Oden was one of two top 10 marks for UC Riverside in the 60mH, joined by true freshman Samantha Walsten (9.20).  
• Aaron Fruge cracked the top 10 in the 60m with a 6.99/7.01A.  
• Kazu Kimura moved up to eighth all-time in the long jump with a 7.01m/23-00.00.  
• Raykiyat Olukoju advanced to the 60m final with a season-best 7.60, later dropping her season best with a 7.56 in the final. 
• Arthur Celestine Jr. turned in a top-three finish in the 60mH with an 8.45.  

NOTABLES 

• Three first-year Highlanders recorded their second career top 10 marks in as many meets. 
• Oden lowered her PR in her second collegiate 60mH race.
