LAHAINA, Hawai'i – The UC Riverside Highlanders opened the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational with a strong team performance, finishing the first round in a tie for seventh place at 3-over 291. The Highlanders were led by
Janna Andaya,
Mitzi Duarte, and
Sophia Luna, who each shot even-par 72 at the Royal Kaanapali Course.
