RIVERSIDE, Calif. - UC Riverside concluded a busy week on Saturday with day two of the Beach Opener and Ben Brown Invitational. 

HOW IT HAPPENED 

• Maxwell Jefferson placed ninth in the men's 110 hurdles with a 14.57 while Ebba Adinew clocked in with a 15.13.  
• UCR cleaned up in the men's long jump in Long Beach with four top 10 finishes from Aaron Fruge (7.34m/24-01.00), Elijah Yoshinaga (7.18m/23-6.75), Kazu Kimura (7.08m/23-02.75) and Kyan Thomas (6.94m/22-09.25). Mia Green turned in a 5.51m/18-01.00 on the women's side. 
• Thomas also won the triple jump with a 15.36m/50-04.75.  
• Chelsea Aninyei placed eighth in the women's high jump, turning in a 1.61m/5-03.25. Aninyei also impressed in the triple jump with a third-place finish (12.31m/40-04.75).  
• Green (11.61m/38-01.25) and Janessa Morse (11.35m/37-03.00) also turned in top 11 finishes in the triple jump.  

NOTABLES 

• Thomas and Aninyei set new team season bests in the men's and women's triple jump. 
• Aninyei also recorded a new collegiate best in the high jump in Long Beach while Green set a collegiate best in the long jump. 
• Thomas' win cemented a new triple jump collegiate best for the junior.
