TACOMA, Wash. — The Highlanders turned in a steady performance over 36 holes Monday at the SeattleU Pat Lesser Harbottle Invitational, finishing the day in eighth place at Tacoma Country and Golf Club.
Janna Andaya led the Highlanders with a 2-under-par 142 after rounds of 72 and 70, highlighted by a 2-under finish in the afternoon to move into a tie for second overall.
Mitzi Duarte posted a 148, opening with an even-par 72 before adding a 76 in round two to sit tied for 29th.
Riley Shin matched Duarte's opening 72 and closed with a 79 for a 151 total, while
Ivy Kim bounced back from a 78 in the morning to fire a 74 in the second round and finish at 152.
Maleyna Gregorio rounded out the lineup at 154 after rounds of 76 and 78.
UC Riverside combined for team rounds of 292 and 298 for a 590 total, just three shots behind Grand Canyon in seventh and within striking distance of the top five heading into Tuesday's final round.
