TACOMA, Wash. — UC Riverside closed the SeattleU Pat Lesser Harbottle Invitational on a high note Tuesday, firing a 9-over-par 297 in the final round to tie for eighth place at Tacoma Country and Golf Club.
The highlight of the day came from senior
Mitzi Duarte, who carded a blistering 5-under 67 to match the lowest round of the tournament. Duarte's round vaulted her 24 spots into a tie for fourth individually, marking her best finish of the season.
Janna Andaya capped a steady week with a 78 to finish tied for 16th overall, while
Ivy Kim delivered a 2-over 74 to secure a tie for 43rd.
Riley Shin also posted a 78, and
Maleyna Gregorio added a 78 of her own to round out the Highlander scoring.
UC Riverside combined for rounds of 292, 298 and 297 to finish at 887 to tie for 8
th place as a team.
Next up, the Highlanders head to Las Cruces, New Mexico, for the three-day Golf Iconic Classic, set for Oct. 13–15.
