LAHAINA, Hawai'i — UC Riverside women's golf closed the season with a tie for eighth place at the Big West Women's Golf Championship, finishing with a three-round total of 913 at the Royal Kaanapali Course.
The Highlanders opened the tournament with a 304 before posting a 319 in the second round and bouncing back with one of their best rounds of the week, a 2-over 290, in the final round.
Janna Andaya led UC Riverside, tying for 30th with a three-round score of 227 (+11). After opening with a 75 and carding an 81 in the second round, Andaya closed strong with a 1-under 71 in the final round to climb the leaderboard.
Mitzi Duarte followed closely behind, tying for 33rd at 228 (+12). Duarte also finished the tournament on a high note, firing a 1-under 71 in the final round after rounds of 75 and 82.
Maleyna Gregorio finished 35th overall with a 13-over 229 after rounds of 77, 79 and 73. Ivy Kim placed 40th at 235, while Sophia Soto contributed with rounds of 78 and 75 during the championship.
Cal Poly captured the team title with a tournament score of 866 (+2), followed by UC Davis and CSU Fullerton to round out the top three.
The championship appearance marked the final event of the 2025–26 season for the Highlanders
