Strong Second Half Secures Highlanders' Win

USAFA, Colo. – The Highlanders traveled to the United State Air Force Academy for a late afternoon match against the Falcons. UC Riverside looked for its third win of the year and the Falcons sought win number one. The Highlanders prevailed, 2-1.
The match's first goal came from Air Force in the 4' when Quinn Muderlak put it in the back of the net. It was his first of the season.
Offensively, the Highlanders were held to one shot and that came from Jona Martinez. It was on target as Hunter Anderson made the save. Conversely, the Falcons posted 12 shots.
The second started off slowly for the Highlanders, but they tied the match at one in the 71' off the foot of Andrija Radonjic. For the forward it was his first goal of the year.
The Highlanders struck again this time in the 85' off the foot of Wyatt Ponting. For Ponting it was his second goal of the year.
UC Riverside held on in the final minutes of the match to earn its third win of the year.
