Davis, CA—The UC Riverside Women's Soccer Team, currently on a two-game road trip to Northern California, picked up its first points of the conference season Friday evening with a scoreless tie at UC Davis.
The Highlanders (5-7-2, 0-2-1) were without the leading scorer in the Big West as sophomore forward Heidi Garrett (Riverside, CA) sat out the game with an injury sustained in Sunday's loss to Cal Poly.
The Aggies (5-5-2, 0-2-1) outshot UCR 26-5 on the day, but Brittany Goetz (Irvine, CA) came through with 11 saves, including one on a penalty kick in the second half, to preserve the tie.
