Riverside—Anheuser-Busch has teamed up with the UC Riverside Department of Intercollegiate Athletics and chosen women's soccer athlete Kayde Hensley as the September recipient of the "Budweiser Responsibility Matters Good Sport of the Month." Hensley helped the Highlanders to a pair of wins vs. Mississippi State and San Jose State at the UCR Women's Soccer Invitational.
UC Riverside blanked the Bulldogs 3-0 on Friday, August 26, thanks in large part to Hensley's defensive efforts, and she scored the game-winning goal in double overtime against San Jose State on Sunday, August 28 rocketing a shot from 35 yards out for the 2-1 victory. Watch the highlight video.
The Big West announced that the UCR senior was named the conference's defensive player of the week on August 29 for her efforts in the Highlanders victories.
Anheuser-Busch congratulates Hensley for demonstrating that RESPONSIBILITY REALLY DOES MATTER!
