Early Goal By Santa Clara Gives Broncos 1-0 Win Over Men's Soccer

Riverside, CA - The UC Riverside Men's Soccer Team outshot visiting Santa Clara Sunday evening 14 to seven, including eight to three in shots on goal, but the Broncos scored the lone goal of the match less than a minute in, and escaped with a 1-0 victory (video recap).

Valdemar Anderson found Steve Eneme with just 51 seconds gone by off the clock, beating UC Riverside keeper Ashkan Khosravi to put Santa Clara on top.

The Highlanders pushed for the equalizer for the rest of the match, but the Broncos defense and goalie Kendall McIntosh were up to the task, as the Broncos recorded their fourth clean sheet of the season.

UC Riverside remains at home this week hosting San Diego on Thursday, September 18. Kick off is slated for 7 pm PT.
