Men's Soccer Wins Season Opener, 3-0, Over Concordia

Irvine, CA—The UC Riverside Men's Soccer Team opened the 2015 season with a 3-0 road win over Concordia.
Michael Salazar put the Highlanders (1-0-0) on top in the 23rd minute of play, collecting a pss from Romario Lomeli and beating the Eagles' keeper for his first score of the year.
Just over 11 minutes later Lomeli and Salazar switched places with Salazar finding Lomeli for his first goal of the season. Tyler Miguel made it 3-0 Highlanders in the 35th minute of play thanks to a Zachary Dunn assist.
That score held up throughout the second half as neither team dented the back of the net over the final 55 minutes of play.
UC Riverside remains on the road this Sunday, as the Highlanders travel to San Diego for a 7:30 pm PT kick off against the Toreros.
