Riverside—The UC Riverside Baseball Team is back at The Plex this evening for a 6 pm PT first pitch against LMU. The Highlanders (20-24) recently pulled to within a game of the .500 mark, but dropped a three-game series to #17 Cal State Fullerton over the weekend.

Jacob Worrell (0-3, 6.61) gets his first start of the season tonight for UC Riverside. His first 13 appearances in 2016 were out of the pen. He has 15 strikeouts in 16.1 innings on the year

LMU (25-23) sends right-hander Blake Redman (6-4, 3.97) to the mound for his tenth start of the season. Although teams are hitting .300 off of him, Redman has 42 strikeouts and just six walks in 56.2 innings of work this year. Cassidy Brown leads the Lions offensive attack with a slash line of .335/.394/.529.

These two teams met earlier in the season with LMU picking up a 2-1 victory over the Highlanders (box score/recap) on April 5. That evened the all-time record between the clubs at 19-19 (view results).
