Women's Soccer Upends Visiting Toledo, 2-1

Riverside—The UC Riverside Women's Soccer Team scored two first-half goals, and survived a late Toledo charge to upend the Rockets, 2-1, Friday evening.
GAME NOTES
Freshman Alexis Vera made her UC Riverside debut against Toledo, and netted the first goal of her collegiate career in the 40th minute of play.
Amanda Apelian's first half goal gave her six for her career, which is the most of any current member of the Highlanders.
Five different players have scored each of the Highlanders' five goals on the season.
The Highlanders have six assists on the season with six different players tied with one apiece.
The temperature at kick off was 99 degrees.
