SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. – UC Riverside fell in three sets to Cal Poly on Friday night at the Mott Athletics Center in San Luis Obispo behind six kills from Delaney Tate. 

Tate led the Highlanders in kills for the second time this season and first since registering nine at Houston Baptist in September. 

Tayler Hifo recorded her sixth double double of the season and fifth in her last seven with 18 assists and 12 digs against the Mustangs on Friday. Hifo added a pair of service aces, now registering one in 12 of 14 matches this season. 

UC Riverside notched six aces on the night with Kenzy Militar accounting for three of them and now has seven in her last three matches. The Highlanders notched eight block assists in San Luis Obispo, coming two shy of double-digit block assists for what would've been the fifth time this season.
