
Women’s Volleyball Falls to UC Davis

RIVERSIDE, Calif. - UC Riverside returned to the SRC Arena on Thursday night for more Big West action, falling 3-0 to UC Davis.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- UC Riverside dropped a narrow first set that saw the Highlanders and UC Davis separated by just three kills. Anya Green recorded UCR's lone first-set ace immediately following an UC Davis service error.
- UCR took a 12-8 lead in set two with a .462 hitting percentage in that stretch before the Aggies went ahead at 15-13 with a 7-1 run. Green's second ace of the night brought the Highlanders to within two just before the Aggies claimed a 25-20 set two win.
- UCR turned a 5-3 deficit into a 6-5 lead early in set three, then kept battling with Davis until the Aggies took control once more with a 7-0 run.
HIGHLANDER HIGHLIGHTS

Green led the Highlanders in blocks for the third straight match in addition to now logging an ace in all three Big West home matches so far. The senior also hit a team-high .333 for the match and was one dig shy of tying a career high.
