IRVINE, Calif. - The University of California, Riverside (UCR) Highlanders fell, 9-1, to nearby Big West rivals the University of California, Irvine (UCI) Anteaters in game two of the final series of the 2023 season.

Nine runs on ten hits with one error led the Anteaters to victory against the Highlanders. UC Riverside struggled to produce with just one run on three hits. The Highlanders also put up two errors in the Friday evening contest.

Tyler Weaver singled in the ninth inning to score the lone run of the game for the Highlanders, driving in Mason Grace, on base with a leadoff single himself.

The Highlanders return to wrap up the series tomorrow, Saturday, May 26 with the final game of the 2023 season. First pitch is scheduled for 1PM.
