Highlanders Continue Idaho Volleyball Classic with 3-0 Loss to Seattle

MOSCOW, Idaho - UC Riverside continued its play at the Idaho Volleyball Classic on Saturday night with a 3-0 loss to Seattle at Memorial Gym.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Sophia Ewalefo was UCR's attacking force out of the gate once more with three kills on nine swings in the first set.Â
- The Highlanders took advantage of multiple Seattle errors to keep things close in set two. UCR fought off four match points to force a Seattle timeout before dropping set two, 25-21.Â
- UCR rattled off five straight points to force another Seattle breather in set three with the Highlanders trailing 14-12.Â
HIGHLANDER HIGHLIGHTS
- Sydnee Rowe was a multi-faceted threat for UC Riverside on Saturday, collecting three kills, an ace, a dig and two block assists.
- Coco Ikpe and Delaney Tate combined for 13 of their 17 kills in the third set.Â
- Tate was four digs shy of a double double to go along with her team-high 10 kills. Makena Tong also flirted with a double double, registering 29 assists and eight digs.Â
