RIVERSIDE, Calif. – Jackson D'Alessandro was named to Top Drawer Soccer's Team of the Week after helping UCR shut out UC Irvine and Cal Poly last week.  

The sophomore defender is the second Highlander this week to earn weekly honors after Carlos Gonzalez was named Big West Defensive Player of the Week.  

D'Alessandro played all 180 minutes last week and added an assist while holding the Anteaters and Mustangs scoreless in a span of four days. D'Alessandro and the rest of the back line limited UC Irvine to nine shots with just one on frame – both are the fewest by a Highlander opponent this season.
