HONOLULU, Hawai'i - UC Riverside crossed the Pacific Ocean to challenge the University of Hawai'i Rainbow Warriors to a three-game Big West set at Les Murakami Stadium in the Aloha State.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Four Hawai'i runs crossed the plate in the first two innings, with a single, a two-RBI double and a sacrifice fly.
- Jayden Lopez answered back with a two-run homer in the fourth inning, cutting the deficit in half.
- Highlander defense held the Rainbow Warriors scoreless for five frames before Hawai'i offense put up a seven run inning in the bottom of the eighth.
HIGHLANDER HIGHLIGHTS
- Lopez's homerun was his second of the season. He first went yard against Utah Valley on February 18.
- Zachary Chamizo went four for two with one run. Dominic Martinez went two for two at the plate.

- UC Riverside is back in action tomorrow for game two. First pitch is scheduled for 9:35 p.m. Pacific Time on ESPN+.
