RIVERSIDE, Calif. (August 29, 2024) - UC Riverside women's soccer faced Boise State in a midweek non-conference bout at the UCR Soccer Stadium
HOW IT HAPPENED
- UC Riverside threatened first, with Mimi Dominguez firing off an attempt in the third minute. Unlike her first career goal in the first five minutes of play in last week's match against UTEP, the shot was blocked by a Bronco defender.
- The teams battled through the first half with neither finding the net before halftime.
- Boise State entered the second half with a bang, scoring back-to-back goals within a minute in the first five minutes of the period.
- A penalty in the 63' put the Broncos up 3-0, for the final score of 3-0.
- In the 85', the Broncos knocked a fourth and final goal
HIGHLANDER HIGHLIGHTS
- Daphne Mendez and Braelynn Llamoca each fired a shot on goal for the Highlanders.
UP NEXT
- UC Riverside is back at the SRC Soccer Stadium to host UNLV on Sunday, September 1. Kick off is scheduled for 10:00 a.m.
