Northridge, CA—Renee Scachetti's goal in the 10th minute was the only tally in the Highlanders' 1-0 win over Cal State Northridge on the road Sunday. With the win the Highlanders move to 7-4-1 overall and 1-0-1 in the Big West. Northridge fell to 1-10 overall and 0-2 in the Big West.
Scachetti scored when her shot deflected off goalkeeper Jen Jasper and into the net.
Goalkeeper Katie Blank got the win for the Highlanders, facing 20 shots and recording nine saves, including a missed penalty shot by Matador Melissa Cleal. Jasper had four saves.
The Highlanders had 10 shots, five on goal.
