Women's Soccer Plays To 0-0 Tie vs. Nevada At Anteater Invitational

Irivine, CA--The UC Riverside Women's Soccer Team improved its record to 1-6-2 on the season with a 0-0 tie against Nevada Friday afternoon in the first round of the UC Irvine Anteater Invitational. The Highlanders' second match of the event is slated for Sunday at 11 am against Oregon State.
UCR recorded its second straight shutout, and third of the season, turning away 10 Wolfpack shots on the day. Only one of the shots was on goal, however, as the Highlanders kept Nevada away from the box for much of the day.
UC Riverside took 10 shots of its own in the game, five of which were on goal, and three of which came in the second overtime period, but the Wolfpack defense held up as well leading to the scoreless tie.
